Bozhen Zhang
Bozhen Zhang is a Research Associate at Hedayah, where he contributes to the organisation’s research projects, cross-departmental initiatives, and online research tools.
Bozhen brings extensive experience in research, threat analysis, knowledge management, and project development across diverse regional and operational contexts. Prior to joining Hedayah full-time, he worked with the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) in Vienna on terrorism prevention, and with the International Organization for Migration (IOM) in Cairo on border governance. He has also published articles on topics, including forced migration, ethnic relations, historical memory, and education for countering extremism.
A native Chinese speaker fluent in English and Arabic, Bozhen holds a Master of Philosophy (MPhil) in International Relations from the University of Oxford and a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Arab Studies from Peking University.
