The program focuses on theological engagement as a tool for capacity building targeting those who are prone to extremist activities. Theology is not a key factor in radicalization, however, it might be utilized as a powerful tool for de-radicalization. The capacity building program focuses on strategies in counter extremism theology, upskilling of imams, religious teachers, mentors and community activists and community. The program includes providing insights on jihad and warfare, “takfirism”, “caliphate”, “shariah law”, “democracy”, “blasphemy”, tolerance and diversity, history of extremism, “dar al-Islam”, “dar al-Harb”, interfaith engagement, citizenship, tyranny, oppression and interaction with other faith(s).
