Debating Security Plus: Discussing Challenges in the Middle East

As part of an ongoing collaboration with Debating Security Plus 2018, Hedayah, Friends of Europe and TRENDS Research & Advisory convened a one-day roundtable in Abu Dhabi.

The roundtable marked the local launch of the 2018 Debating Security Plus (DS+) Report (6th Edition) as a result of the Debating Security Plus 2018.

It provided the opportunity for locally-based experts, youth, academia, the private sector, and policymakers to discuss the recommendations resulting from DS+ 2018 and its applicability to the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region. The roundtable also welcomed suggestions for topics to address during the next DS+ in 2019.
