In response to current and evolving violent extremist and terrorist threats and challenges, Hedayah, the Euro-Arab Foundation, the European Institute for Counter Terrorism and Conflict Prevention, Global Internet Forum to Counter Terrorism, Moonshot, United Nations Office of Counter-Terrorism and University of Granada hold the Seventh International Countering Violent Extremism (CVE) Research Conference 2022. It is sponsored by the Government of Spain.

The long-awaited Conference brought together relevant researchers and practitioners to identify trends and needs for on-the-ground implementation to tackle violent extremism, while further understanding the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. The Conference aimed to find ways to turn top, theoretical countering violent extremism knowledge and research into coherent and practical implementation globally.

The International CVE Research Conference 2022 addressed key themes and featured interactive discussion sessions to further explore research methods and the current challenges to researching violent extremism. The strategic partners of this year’s Conference are the Royal United Services Institute, the Cyber Threats Research Centre (CYTREC) and Tech against Terrorism.
