Community Policing for CVE Leadership
During May 2019, the Community Policing for CVE program convened a group of 25 senior police leadership and trainers from the Kosovo Police Service and Academy of Public Safety in Pristina, Kosovo.
This seminar focused on key CVE tents and community policing as an organizational ethos, to be embodied from the senior levels of service.
Academy leadership and trainers were included to further this philosophy throughout the new recruit and in-service training curriculum. Following this seminar, the existing training curriculum will be reviewed to provide clear recommendations on ways in which community policing principles can be expanded to benefit CVE efforts within the Kosovo context.
