Rehabilitation and Reintegration: Good Practices and Key Successes
On its upcoming 10-year anniversary, Hedayah wishes to share its on-the-ground insights, success stories, lessons learned and good practices in rehabilitation and reintegration, so far. Over the past 10 years, Hedayah has been supporting countries around the world in their rehabilitation and reintegration efforts by adopting a comprehensive and locally-tailored approach, inclusive of capacity building support and research initiatives. The aim of these programs has been to increase the chances for the successful rehabilitation and reintegration of violent extremist offenders and family members, thereby decreasing the likelihood of recidivism.
In support of this, Hedayah will hold a hybrid side event to the 77th Session of the UN General Assembly to share current good practices, challenges and lessons learned on rehabilitation and reintegration of violent extremist offenders and their family members, including women and children.
